Driven by the rapid growth of the new energy vehicle market, power batteries that can balance high energy density, high safety, and low cost have become a hot topic in the market.
To do a good job, one must first sharpen their tools. As the core support for lithium battery production, lithium battery intelligent equipment enterprises need to keep up with the development pace of leading enterprises and deeply participate in the technological innovation and manufacturing iteration of battery enterprises. This is essential to help battery enterprises maintain and enhance their core competitiveness through efficient, high-quality, and economically intelligent manufacturing equipment.
Cell stacking is the core of mid stage equipment
Lithium battery manufacturing can be divided into four major processes: electrode fabrication, cell assembly, cell activation detection, and module/pack packaging. Among them, cell assembly belongs to the middle production process, mainly including winding or stacking, cell pre-packaging, cell liquid injection, and other processes. According to GGII calculation data, in lithium battery equipment, the value of middle equipment accounts for about 35%, and the winding/stacking machine is the core of middle equipment, accounting for about 70% of the value.
Currently, mainstream stacking machine equipment on the market:
FHS stacking era, “cell” technology
The FHS high-speed lamination cutting and stacking machine achieves a stable production rate of 400~480 PPM, with a stacking speed of 0.125 S/pcs, greatly improving production efficiency. The equipment includes positive electrode slicing, positive electrode conveying unit, negative electrode bag making, negative electrode conveying unit, stacking unit, and hot pressing production line. The compact structural design reduces the ground occupation of the entire machine, shortens the transfer of sheet materials from pole coil to stack, and saves equipment production costs.
The use of backup double unwinding spools in roll production reduces material replacement time. Multiple stacking platforms stack 8 pieces at once to improve overall efficiency.
Online integrated CCD detection for real-time detection of V-angle cutting, electrode width, and electrode ear shoulder to eliminate defective electrodes and improve product defect detection capabilities. The negative electrode adopts thermal composite technology to solve the problem of diaphragm deformation. After thermal composite, the electrode plate is smooth and flat. The position of the electrode plate is rechecked on the lamination table to ensure the accuracy of battery cell alignment, improve the quality of the battery cell, and prolong its service life.
The whole machine is equipped with FHS’s own intelligent data collection and analysis system, which can be connected to the factory MES system to optimize production processes and monitor the real-time operation status of equipment.
Parameters of FHS high-speed lamination cutting and stacking machine:
Adhere to customer orientation and strive for value sharing
FHS adopts internationally advanced simulation and system integration technology, which has realism and immersion, saves costs and time. In the design phase, using this technology for verification will detect problems in advance, nip errors in the bud, assist customers in reducing costs and time, improve equipment quality and efficiency, and reduce production risks. In the electrical design stage, simulation and debugging work can be carried out before the actual machine is implemented, greatly reducing on-site debugging time.
With profound technological research and development capabilities and project management capabilities, recently, the FHS high-speed lamination cutting and stacking machine has successfully completed acceptance and delivery, and the high standard and efficient verification results have been highly recognized by customers.
Cross border, focusing on the field of new energy
FHS, with its accumulated technology and application experience in automotive component automation and medical automation, has quickly opened up the new energy market with modules and Pack lines as entry points, and has been recognized by many leading customers in the industry. It has expanded from back-end equipment to mid-stage core equipment, and its hardcore product technology and operational service capabilities will help FHS continue to cultivate in the field of new energy intelligent equipment.
